V-Bombers

V-bombers recalls that iconic generation of jet bombers, the magnificent Vickers Valiant, Avro Vulcan and Handley Page Victor. The three giant jets formed Britain’s nuclear deterrent from the mid-1950s through to the introduction of the Royal Navy’s Polaris submarines in 1968. And even after they relinquished their nuclear roles, the Victor and Vulcan served with great distinction in conventional roles as bombers, air-to-air refuelling tankers and reconnaissance platforms. Famously, just as their retirement approached and the scrapman beckoned, the last of the V-bombers were hurriedly prepared for their first real combat missions during the Falklands War, which sealed their much-deserved place in Royal Air Force history.

I started buying Aeroplane Monthly in ‘76 or‘77. By the early 80’s I bought a subscription and I still have it. I love themagazine.
Pretty much the only game in town for the stuff I'm looking for.
