Exclusive Airfix Spitfire Mk.IXc 1/72 scale starter set

Exclusive Airfix Spitfire Mk.IXc 1/72 scale starter set

Create a unique Spitfire with the exclusive Model World LIVE and Malcs Models 1/72 Spitfire Mk.IXc starter set with brand-new decals to recreate MA621.

The exclusive Airfix kit was developed for Model World LIVE to mark the appearance of Simply Spitfire's stunning full-size replica Mk.IXc at the show on April 26/27 2025 at the NEC in Birmingham. It is the first time that the Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk.IXc has been made available as a starter set.

The starter set contains injection moulded parts for the aircraft together with the unique and highly detailed decal sheet for MA621 plus glue, basic paint colours and a paint brush.

The unique decal sheet models all the details of MA621 as flown by F/Sgt. William A Hoskins with 229 Squadron based at RAF Coltishall, England in July 1944. It didn't serve for long, as in the same month as it was completed it stalled on approach to Swannington leading to a crash landing which saw the airframe split in two.

This new kit builds a stunning 1/72 scale replica of this Second World War aircraft.

I started buying Aeroplane Monthly in ‘76 or‘77. By the early 80’s I bought a subscription and I still have it. I love themagazine.
Pretty much the only game in town for the stuff I'm looking for.
