Hornby’s range of TT:120 scale passenger rolling stock continues to develop with the addition of BR Mk 2F carriages - the perfect partners to the newly released Class 50 Co-Co diesels for the scale.

Decorated in the BR InterCity livery with Swallow style lettering of the late 1980s and 1990s, the new Mk 2F range is a must for diesel-era modellers. Add this carriage to your collection from the Key Model World Shop.

The British Rail Mk 2F was the last in the line of Mk 2 carriage designs. The first were introduced in 1964 with the last being completed in 1975. Highlights of the Mk 2F fleet included air-conditioning, plastic interior panelling and a new design of seat. In total 164 First Open (FO), 277 Tourist Open Second (TSO) and 30 Brake Second Open (BSO) were built.

The Mk 2 carriages were used in passenger service into the 2020s and some remain in use today with charter operators.

The all-new Hornby TT:120 Mk 2F range includes First Open 3387 finished in InterCity Swallow livery of the 1980s and 1990s. Accurately featuring flush tinted glazing, the new Mk 2F FO includes a detailed interior and realistic tampo printed decoration on the exterior with a Midland Region prefix to its identity.

This FO is ideal to partner with Hornby's new TT:120 scale Mk 2F TSO and BSO to create realistic train formations to run with the new Class 50s for the scale.
