The Bookworm Book Shop

The Bookworm Book Shop

The many different types of shops in villages, towns and high streets shop often presents variety and interest that extends to shops on model railways. Hornby’s new TT:120 scale Book Shop is ready to plant and the perfect addition to a layout. Buy now from the Key Model World Shop.

The variety of different shops that populate many towns and villages is an equally important modelling subject to houses on any layout. Applicable to anywhere in Britain, book shops are seeing a resurgence and this positive change can now be reflected on any TT:120 scale model railway.

Depicting a brick-built book shop, Hornby’s TT9016 ‘The Bookworm’ features a complex and interesting building shape, accurate as either a parade of buildings or on its own. Supplied ready-to-plant and fully decorated, the book shop features brick red walls and a grey tiled roof. The shop frontage is detailed with a fine glazed porch with interior book shop detail.

A prototype that could be seen anywhere in Britain from the 1950s (era 4) to the present day, ‘The Bookworm’ is a unique shop that is equally at home within a busy high street or on the outskirts of a town.  Suitable for any region of the UK, adding a book shop to any TT:120 scale model railway is an interesting cameo straight from the box.

  • ·      Highly detailed resin casting
