A wide variety of main line diesels, diesel shunters, electro-diesels and electric locomotives across a broad range of classes that were operational on the rail network during this brief timeframe all feature. Included too, are diesel and electric multiple units. Each region of the United Kingdom is included, with profiles of regular services through stations and on networks that are now consigned to industrial history or changed beyond recognition.
