Scottish Croft Shepherds Rest

Scottish Croft Shepherds Rest

Housing of all different types is widespread across all areas of Britain and are equally popular on model railways. Hornby’s new TT:120 scale Scottish Croft cottage is ready to plant and the perfect addition to any rural layout scene. Buy now from the Key Model World Shop.

Unlike the real world, housing is rarely expensive or in short supply on model railways and is an important addition to any layout. Synonymous with the rural Scotland, Croft cottages are unique small houses that are located across the Lowlands and Highlands but can add character to any rural scene on a model railway.

Depicting a small Scottish Croft with dormer roof, Hornby’s TT9013 ‘Shepherds Rest’ is a typical example of a white rendered Croft cottage dating from the nineteenth century that still exist today. Supplied ready-to-plant, ‘Shepherds Rest’ features a grey tiled roof with two fine chimney stacks and small extension. Moulded in resin, the house is fully decorated with an impressive, rendered finish with subtle weathering.

While best known in Scotland, similar cottages are found across Britain in isolated, rural locations from Cumbria to Cornwall. Suitable for any region of the UK from the 1920s (era 2) to the present day, ‘Shepherds Rest’ is a unique little addition to any TT:120 scale model railway of rural countryside.

Product highlights include:

  • Ready-assembled resin Scottish Croft cottage ‘Shepherds Rest'
  • Highly detailed resin casting
  • Detailed white rendered decoration with weathering
  • Applicable to any rural layout from the 1920s (era 2) to the present day

Pretty much the only game in town for the stuff I'm looking for.
