PJM Models OO Gauge GBRf Depot kit - Version B
PJM Models collection of British outline depot kits for 'OO' gauge has expanded with the addition of this all-new modular kit based on the GB Railfreight Depot building at Peterborough.
This kit is designed to extend the Option A kit and does not include doors or extractors.
This impressive structure was completed in September 2023 and took centre stage in the GBRf Gala Weekend depot tours on September 7/8 2024.
The new PJM Models laser-cut kit is available in two forms. The Option B kit contains only laser-cut parts to build the structure of the building and is designed to expand the length of the Option A kit to create a longer building. Score marks on the roof panels allow an Option B kit to be added to the Option A building with flush joint between the roof and sides. Any number of Option B kits can be added to an Option A to extend the length of the depot.
The Option A kit contains laser-cut parts for the sides, roof and ends to build a single 335mm x 224mm structure together with additional 3D printed roller shutter doors and a pair of extractor units - one for each end.
The depot is designed to mimic the real structure and accommodates two tracks inside. A full internal skeleton is included in the kit to model the inner structure of the building together with separate parts for the doors.
Construction of the GB Railfreight Depot kit requires a craft knife, superglue, spray glue and wood filler to complete the model as well as painting.
Look out for a full feature on installation of this new kit in the 2025 Hornby Magazine Yearbook - on sale late November 2024 - and online at Key Model World.

Modern Railways is the most technically accurate railway magazine in the business and with writers of the calibre of Ford, Walmsley and Willias, what is not to like?

Subscribing since the 80's!
I started buying Aeroplane Monthly in ‘76 or ‘77. By the early 80’s I bought a subscription and I still have it. I love the magazine.
