PJM Models OO gauge Derby Works building base kit

PJM Models OO gauge Derby Works building base kit

PJM Models’ collection of Derby Works laser-cut buildings for ‘OO’ gauge is now available.

The new collection of kits offers a modular way to model a railway works, allowing it to be built to suit any number of tracks wide in multiples of two and to be extended in length.

The kits use a combination of laser-cut MDF and plywood parts for the main construction, with laser-cut glazing included, together with instructions. They feature full interior roof truss detail plus 3D printed columns and three types of door – wooden, concertina and roller shutter.

This is the base kit which builds a two-track wide structure 404mm x 140mm.

Extension options include a two-track length extension kit, which contains side walls and roof parts measuring; a two-track width extension, which contains end walls and roof parts; plus a two-track roof-only kit at the same size.

The modular design means that extensions to the two-track-wide base kit need to be bought and built at the same time, as the extension kits sit between the two halves of the base two-track kit.

For more information about construction of these new laser-cut kits, see the feature series on Derby Works in HM218–HM220. Plus, you can tune into a full video build series for the new layout on Key Model World each Friday from 8 August 2025.

I started buying Aeroplane Monthly in ‘76 or‘77. By the early 80’s I bought a subscription and I still have it. I love themagazine.
Pretty much the only game in town for the stuff I'm looking for.
