PJM Models latest exclusive ‘OO’ gauge model replicates Crewe Station A signalbox. The kit builds the compact 1907-built ‘box which once stood inside Crewe station and is available exclusively through Key Model World.
The ‘box was built by the London and North Western Railway and had 26 levers. There was an identical Crewe Station B signalbox but both were removed during the 1985 modernisation of Crewe station. Crewe Station A was dismantled and placed into storage before being rebuilt at Crewe Heritage Centre in 1987 where it remains today complete with its lever frame inside.
The new laser-cut kit recreates this attractive signalbox with a combination of MDF and plywood parts together with laser-cut glazing. It is 117mm long (including steps) and 51mm wide. Basic modelling tools, paints and glue are required to complete the kit.
