Naval Warfare (Dreadnoughts to Drones)

The past century has seen several transformations take place in naval warfare, as battleships gave way to aircraft carriers before the nuclear-powered submarine came to dominate the seas.

Today guided missiles and remote-controlled drones are emerging as key naval weapons. Naval Warfare (Dreadnoughts to Drones) will tell this story by describing major naval engagements from the past century.

Naval action from World War One and Two, as well as in Vietnam, the Middle East and South Atlantic in more recent years, will be examined, including looking at key ships, weapons, aircraft, tactics, and commanders.
