Built at English Electric’s Vulcan Works in 1965, this locomotive entered traffic as D6976. It was renumbered to 37276 under BR’s TOPS system in 1974. In October 1985, the locomotive was fitted with Electric Train Heating (ETH), renumbered to 37413 and was named Loch Eil Outward Bound in 1987.

In 1994 37413 joined the Transrail fleet - one of three shadow priviatisation freight operators - and was withdrawn in 2000 following a short career with EWS.

Internally the locomotive features a Next18 DCC decoder socket and space for a 15mm x 11mm cube speaker. Hornby’s TT:120 Class 37 is highly detailed and is the perfect companion to the modern image freight rolling stock including the HAA coal hoppers, forthcoming Seacow ballast hoppers, MHA wagons and more.

I started buying Aeroplane Monthly in ‘76 or‘77. By the early 80’s I bought a subscription and I still have it. I love themagazine.
Pretty much the only game in town for the stuff I'm looking for.
