Avalon Bungalow

Avalon Bungalow

Housing of all different types is widespread across all urban and rural areas of Britain and are equally popular on model railways. Hornby’s new TT:120 scale Bungalow ‘Avalon’ is ready to plant and the perfect addition to populate any domestic layout scene. Buy now from the Key Model World Shop.

Unlike the real world, housing is rarely expensive or in short supply on model railways and is an important addition to any layout. Introduced in large numbers from the 1950s, Bungalows are largely single-floor homes built to a low density but are not regularly modelled.

Depicting a mid-sized Bungalow, Hornby’s TT9012 ‘Avalon’ house draws on various designs typical of Bungalows constructed in the 1950s that still exist today. Supplied ready-to-plant, ‘Avalon’ features a high tiled pitch roof, integral garage and a pair of distinctive curved bay windows. Moulded in resin, the house is fully decorated with a detailed red brick base is topped with rendered upper walls.

Suitable for any region of the UK or era from the 1950s onwards (era 4), ‘Avalon’ is equally suited as part of an estate of bungalows or an isolated house along a rural road. A house type that is surprisingly common in reality, a Bungalow is an interesting addition for any TT:120 scale model railway.

Product highlights include:

  • Ready-assembled resin ‘Avalon’ bungalow
  • Highly detailed resin casting
  • Detailed etched metal window frame
  • Applicable to any region or era from the 1950s (era 4) to the present day

Pretty much the only game in town for the stuff I'm looking for.
