Accurascale GWR ‘Manor’ 4-6-0 7802 Bradley Manor limited edition

DCC sound fitted only - limited stock available for immediate despatch

Key Publishing has commissioned an exclusive limited-edition model of preserved Great Western Railway Bradley Manor from Accurascale.

The model uses Accurascale's brand-new tooling for the Collett Manors (HM165) which is now available. This version is DCC sound fitted with an ESU Next18 decoder and twin speakers.

The real 7802 Bradley Manor was completed at Swindon Works in January 1938 and entered traffic at Old Oak Common shed. Its career saw it allocated to Bristol Bath Road shed during the GWR era while from 1946 it became associated with the Cambrian Coast route with allocations to Machynlleth and later Shrewsbury sheds from where it was withdrawn in 1965. It was sent to Woodham Brothers scrapyard in Barry, South Wales before being purchased for preservation by the Erlestoke Manor Fund in 1979. It was transported to the Severn Valley Railway for restoration to working order in 1993.

The specification for the Hornby Magazine limited edition sees 7802 delivered in BR lined green with late crests on the tender sides and an etched metal Cambrian Coast Express headboard will be included with each model. The locomotive also has optional etched metal nameplates together with optional etched metal cabside number plates in the accessory pack.

Mechanically the Accurascale produced Manor will feature a die-cast chassis and running plate, brake blocks in line with the wheels, wire handrails, etched metal, plastic and lost wax detail parts, sprung buffers, a correct tender type for BR service, flickering firebox light, a Next18 DCC decoder socket in the tender, two high quality speakers in the DCC sound models, helical cut gears for maximum performance and slow speed running, gearing for a scale top speed of 90mph and a PowerPack capacitor. The sound decoder installed will be an ESU LokSound V5 with Accurascale's own sound recordings.
