Local knowledge has enabled many unrepeatable workings or interesting visiting locomotives to be captured on film giving a comprehensive record of the many changes that have taken place in the railways of East Yorkshire. The over 180 colour photographs, many of which have never been published before, illustrate rail services have grown or declined and the infrastructure of the railways has evolved over 40 years to meet the needs of the modern railway era.
