Hornby’s TT:120 scale rolling stock continues to develop with the addition of further British Railways Mk1 carriages. With multiple numbers and liveries to choose from, the new Mk1 range is a must for both new and seasoned modellers. Add this carriage to your collection from the Key Model World Shop for £33.99 (RRP £37.49).

Covering numerous diagrams, the British Railways Mk1 range was introduced from 1951 to provide a standardised design combined influence from pre-BR carriages. The Mk1 quickly became ubiquitous on any passenger service throughout the 1950s and 60s and still form the backbone of carriage stock used on many heritage railways to this day.

The all-new Hornby TT:120 Mk1 range initially includes the widely used Corridor Composite (CK). With both first class and standard seating in compartments and offered as E15474 in BR lined maroon, this carriage features fine moulded detail, flush glazing and accurate decoration. While depicting a CK allocated to the BR’s Eastern Region, it would also be equally suited to a layout of any region set after 1957 (era 5).

The perfect expansion to Hornby’s ‘The Easterner’ Trainset and companion to the new range of BR late crest liveried Pacifics, multiple running numbers also means a realistic train can be easily assembled. With more liveries and types in development, the new Mk1 CK is sure to find a home with any TT:120 model railway depicting the heyday of British Railways.
