The 2024 Great Electric Train Show is set to take place at the Marshall Arena in Milton Keynes on the weekend of October 12/13 bringing together 30 top quality hand-picked model railway layouts, more than 50 trade stands and exclusive modelling demonstrations.
Advance ticket sales are now open offering a discount over on the door prices – as well as early entry to the show from 9.30am each day. Advance ticket prices are £16 for adults (£14 for subscribers), £9 for children (Saturday only) and £50 for the popular VIP ticket which includes two-day entry to the show, £25 of Key Publishing magazines, access to the VIP lounge and more.

On-the-day ticket prices will be £20 for adults and £10 for children offering a saving of £4 on adult tickets when they are purchased in advance. As in previous years, on Sunday up to two children will be admitted free with each paying adult at the show.
Layouts booked to attend the show include Winchester Railway Modellers’ stunning Southern Region 4mm scale layout Redbridge Wharf (HM201), Charwelton into the ‘80s in 4mm scale by the CBM Diesel Group, Newvaddon Parkway from Redruth Model Railway Club in ‘N’ gauge (HM188), Ebsworth Street by Greg Marshall – feature coming soon - Steeple Bumpleigh by Norman Raven in ‘OO’ gauge, Kreuzweg modelling Swiss metre gauge railways and Hornby Magazine’s Seven Mill Depot (HM152) and Natford TMD (HM190-HM193).

Pete Waterman's Making Tracks 4 is confirmed for the 2024 Great Electric Train Show with new features planned to make their debut at the event around Watford Junction station.
These layouts will be joined by more than 50 trade stands for a feature-packed weekend of railway modelling. Further layouts and trade stands will be announced in future issues of Hornby Magazine.

NOTE: Due to a football match taking place at the MK Dons Stadium, there will be no parking available for the Great Electric Train Show in the venue car park on Saturday October 12. We recommend parking at Milton Keynes Central railway station on Saturday October 12. There will be a shuttle bus running every 15 minutes from 8am on the Saturday to transport visitors to the show. Alternative parking is available around the venue at other retailer premises (charges and time limits apply). You can also source local parking through parking sites including those listed on the Great Electric Train Show Visitor Information section online. Parking for Sunday October 13 will be available at the venue - Marshall Arena, Milton Keynes MK1 1ST - where the standard parking fees apply.
