Britain's Buses Volume 1

This 116 page bookazine commemorates 30 years since Britain's buses beyond London were deregulated and most public sector operators began to be privatised. In words and colour pictures, it outlines how bus services were provided before October 1986 and how they were changed, with new operators encouraged to compete with the existing ones, resulting in 'bus wars' on the streets of many cities and towns.

London Bus Volume 4
Supported by a wealth of mainly colour photographs, it looks at the vehicles themselves and how they are operated. Bus technology is at the heart of moves to improve London’s air quality, with everything from clean diesel through hybrid electric to full electric and hydrogen fuel-cell power being used to reduce or even eliminate the exhaust gases coming out of the world famous red double- and single-deckers providing everyday transport in the UK capital. We describe the different main types in operation today. We also look in detail at four garages supporting some of today’s London bus routes.

Leyland Nationals
This publication takes a pictorial look at the many liveries worn by the Leyland National. Initially a joint project between Leyland and the National Bus Company, entering service in 1972, the National caught the attention of London Transport, the Passenger Transport Executives and several municipal operators as well as a number of independents.
